That's 2 (and a possibly 3?) Anyone else? I like talking with newspaper people, so I'll do the initial leg-work, research and editing for this, if enough people hop on board. I'll post something on the other board, too. Maybe Steve can point us in the direction of some historic local interest items, too? Once we have enough people and get a couple potential papers interested, I'll set up deadlines and when we have a solid 2 months (8 weeks) work of weekly comics to pitch, I'll shop it around to Seven Days in Burlington and other local VT and UV weeklies.

i'm in for the rotating comic strip in a local paper pitch.
also, I was thinking that it might be good to talk to David Fairbanks Ford about an art show of original comics art at the main street museum. foliage season is coming up and people with dollahz will be rolling through WRJ to stay at the coolidge and looking for stuff to do and looking for ways to spend their inheritences. we could pitch it to david as original artwork and some of the nicer minis we're all producing these days. I'm sure I could get the Sundays gang to do up a few copies of sundays, alex kim screen prints, gabby and bak original artwork, etc, etc. might be just a good way to make dollahz and also to sell minis and stuff. put together a few grab bags of minis, promote the fact that a lot of this stuff is also available at queechee and its an excuse to have a bitching partay.
we could own this shit. i'd be in to talking to david about putting this together or something, lemme know if it sounds interesting or just like a lot of work for little-to-no reward type thing.

Elizabeth did something like this at the Coolidge 2 years ago. I'll bring it up with David when I get home.

Good idea, Sean. I dig. And Bak, if the rotating comic thing happens, I'd do something for it.

OK, I think I've got something to build such an event around, that David at the Museum could get behind: I've got a DVD of a 1915 film shot in part in WRJ, that has NEVER been shown in this area. A VERMONT ROMANCE... whatdya think?

What happened with this? Did this just completely die when school started? I'd be willing to contribute to a rotating artist weekly strip, if people are still up for it.
