part of the reason I posted so much about this is that I was really into the idea of trying to open a store like we've discussed with here or in Savannah (family in Savannah), kind of a Quimby's East. but, yeah, I think it'd need to be primarily a cafe and you would have a few days during the year when you could sell some comics - like portfolio day, a trudeau type event and maybe graduation - and then you could sell some specialized drawing supplies for the students. but it'd still be risky and really, it'd be primarily a coffee shop that'd have to have great late hours. I think it'd be do-able, but it'd probably do better in Brattleboro. though who knows.
I'd have to seriously agree with the notion that artists and people who love the arts probably don't make very good business people.
