I can't help it! I know I'm supposed to hate fbofw like the rest of the internet, but I just can't do it.
It boggles my mind how a strip that just five years about was lauded as being the best in the papers is now so hated, all because of a mustache. Damn you, Anthony!

I read fbofw too. I think I started reading it at breakfast when I was 7 and I never stopped. Breakfast is not breakfast without fbofw. When I was a teenager I was actually really facinated by how Lynn Johnson was earning a living cartooning.
You really think it was the mustache? Why? and what ever happened to the one gay character, Lawerance? He just started growing a bunch of plants and dissapeared.
It's really annoying to me that everyone keeps going back to their highschool sweethearts. I don't know what audiance she's writing for now. Red-hat-ers with a yen for harlequin romances? I hate the way she writes single people ( especially our generation ). She should stick to the things that are really relavant to her now (like she did in the beginning). For example. I think the grandpa's illness is interesting and thoughtful when it's not trying to be cute.

I'm pretty confused by the Lynn Johnston (sp?) hatred. She's a great cartoonist.

www.achewood.comMy favorite webcomic of all time. Of course, I don't read many. I just started reading the perry bible fellowship one, www.pbfcomics.com, and that one's pretty good too.

I'm pretty confused by the Lynn Johnston (sp?) hatred. She's a great cartoonist. I gota agree. I can understand people feeling lost (if you haven't read it in a while), but the hatred smacks of pretension. Great stuff.

Hey, this dinosaur is enjoying some early 1900s dino & caveman Opper art: www.sil.si.edu/ondisplay/caricatures/592.htmFBOFW -- Lynn's a great cartoonist, but the strip too often suffers from lame writing (I mean, my skin almost sloughs off when she gets into the stuttering schoolmate stuff), and Josie's observations ring true. Kick me a new asshole, but as a parent of two former teens, ZITS is my fave cartooning in the strips these days -- great cartooning, and I love how the Sundays in some markets use pencils from a panel as its title art.

airshell.com/vol1/av01.php?page=1_a_1found this one today. AIRSHELL haven't read a lot of it, but the art looked amazingly well rendered. maybe hyper rendered. still, i can appreciate that level of craftsmanship! djamn!
