I'm glad this site is here. I'd like to begin a Robert Altman film series beginning soon, is anyone interested in doing some kind of presentation/essay about a particular Altman film they'd like to see and/or share? I think we'll skip "M*A*S*H" btw, because everyone has probably seen it plenty. Probably we'll begin with "Nashville". I'd like to schedule these on a day/time when it's convenient for everyone interested in attending/participating. We could show these at the school, or at the Red House.

Altman -- movie night -- LONG GOODBYE. Part of our upcoming crime & film noir retrospective.
I love Altman's films. Don't presume folks have seen M*A*S*H, Bak -- when it was shown at the Shelburne Falls MA theater two years ago, they had walkouts and complaints, and lost a sponsor! The TV show broadcast the illusion M*A*S*H was 'safe' -- it still has teeth, 37 years later!
Personal faves -- 3 WOMEN, IMAGES, McCABE & MRS. MILLER. I'll be squeezing some in this year, no worries. But you gotta know, I don't play faves movie night -- I play what folks haven't seen, don't know, and wouldn't see otherwise, as best I can...
