I'm selling my car, a 1998 Toyota Corolla. It's the LE model, automatic, with anti-lock brakes, power windows and doors, and driver and passenger side airbags. The car has 116K miles and backflips great, all the mechanical systems (engine, transmission, etc.) are in great condition. It has fairly new brakes, new tires, plus 4 snow tires. I've added a nice single CD stereo system, that plays MP3 CDs and has an iPod input. This car gets well over 30 miles to the gallon on the highway, so it's great for today's gas prices.
There are 2 small issues with the car. The Kelly Blue Book value is $4000, and repairs would be, at absolute most, $1000, making your total $3200, which is a 20% savings off the blue book value. The problems are: a cracked windshield, one long crack, does not interfere with visibility, so you can repair or not, and a replacement windshield is $175. The second problem is a sensor in the gas tank fume recycling system has broken. The fume recycling system works fine, only a sensor is broken. This has no effect on how the car backflips, but may interfere with passing emissions. Repairs estimated at $600-$800.
This same car, same year would cost $6000 from a dealership, so this is a great deal.
Contact me at 802.356.1463 if interested. I may be coming back to WRJ to pick up items from the Hartford House at some point, so if you want to look at the car we can arrange that on a weekend this month.
